The Mindset Learning Project (MLP) is an evidence-based intervention that was first deployed in online math courses in Georgia through eCore in a randomized controlled trial in 2018. The MLP is designed to support the development of Growth Mindset in students. The Project consists of four brief activities students engage in during the semester which are imported into a D2L course.

The nexus degree emphasizes the connections between industry, skilled knowledge and hands-on experience in high-demand career fields such as cybersecurity and financial technology. This new, short-term college credential expands on an educational portfolio that already includes associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees
Evidence from the USG Getting to Know Our Students survey indicates that student success in math is closely linked to their perception that the math they are studying has purpose. For students studying a broad range of disciplines in the social sciences, health sciences, business and education, the most relevant area of mathematics may be statistics. Indeed, statistical knowledge and understanding has become increasingly important for success in an ever increasing array of fields as the use of, and literacy in, data reshapes our way of viewing the world.
To support this, the University System of Georgia invited institutions to prototype a Statistics Pathway for 2019-2020 that allows participating institutions to offer elementary statistics (MATH/STAT 1401) as an Area A math course.

Evidence-based research confirms that college students are most successful when they start out their college careers by making a purposeful choice in a focus area or program, enter with a productive academic mindset, and follow clearly sequenced program maps that include nine credits in the student’s academic focus area and 30 credits in their first year. Put together, these three elements create a Momentum Year for students—a starting point that helps students find their path, get on that path, and build velocity in the direction of their goals.
Guided Academic Pathways: Mapping for Student Success brought together selected academic department heads, faculty leaders, advisors, and university administrators at Valdosta State University (VSU) to strengthen their understanding and appreciation of academic maps, and assist them in developing the insights and skills necessary to actually construct these maps and apply them at their home institutions.
