The 2019 Mindset Summit will be held on Friday, April 26, at the Jekyll Island Convention Center (map) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Summit will provide an opportunity to review what we have learned about students' in the USG and begin to investigate next steps in developing activities to support students productive academic mindsets.
This will be a small, working meeting for campus teams who will lead development and implementation of mindset activities at your institution. Institutional teams are limited to four from each institution. Teams should be led by an individual on campus designated to serve as the primary point of contact for academic mindset work on campus. Other participants should be drawn from faculty responsible for English, mathematics and first year seminars and leadership from your institutional Center for Teaching and Learning. Institutions may be able to supplement the size of their teams as space-allows; please contact Jonathan Hull directly with inquiries. Teams are to be coordinated through the Provosts office.
