Concierge Coaching is a model to help at-risk students in their journey while at SGSC. It provides an additional layer of support and connection for these students by assigning them to a “coach” which may be a faculty or staff member
Ms. Tisha S. Edwards has been the President at BridgeEdU, Inc. since June 2017 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Edwards served as Interim Chief Executive Officer at Baltimore City Public School Systems since July 1, 2013. Ms. Edwards served as senior management executive for Empower Baltimore Management Corporation, a federally funded non-profit corporation providing services to distressed communities in Baltimore and was appointed Founding Principal of Baltimore Freedom Academy from 2003 to 2007.
Dr. Leonard Bass is a seasoned faculty and senior administrator with 20 years of experience in higher education. He has served in various sectors of post-secondary education and in a variety of positions. Since 2012, he has been serving as the Dean of the Learning Support division on the East and Winter Park Campuses of Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. In his role, he is responsible for the development of innovative academic support programming and strategic planning efforts aimed at ensuring student learning. His division is comprised of the Library, Tutoring and Testing, Learning Communities, Supplemental Learning, Service Learning, and all Student Life Skills courses.
Dr. Loretta Ussery Griffy has worked on a college campus over 25 years. She currently serves as the Associate Provost for Student Success at Austin Peay State University (APSU) and Professor of Mathematics and Statistics. Her work on campus focuses on promoting student success and a culture of self-improvement on campus through development, implementation and assessment of initiatives focused on the teaching, learning, and advising environment in a collegiate setting.
John is an educator, university professor and administrator, non-profit organization chief executive officer, author, editor, public speaker, consultant, change agent, student retention specialist, first-year, sophomore, transfer, and senior year students’ advocate, and initiator and scholar of the American first-year and senior-year reform movements. He serves as President of the John N. Gardner Institute for Excellence in Undergraduate Education (JNGI).
