The First Year Experience is one of three embedded experiences that is built into the GC curriculum. To “Complete your journey,” for First Year Experience, students need to complete their GCSU 0001 (FYAS) and GC1Y courses.

KPIs: raise First to second year retention
Baseline measure (for each KPI): based on previous year’s enrollment
Current/most recent data (for each KPI): 1373 completed (22-23)
Goal or targets (for each KPI): Raise FY retention (raised to 84.4)

Maintaining & making minor adjustments to the curriculum of the class
